Building a skate park by the city of McMinnville is still up in the air. Cost estimates could be in the area of $140,000, not counting the cost for additional man power to oversee use.McMinnville Parks and Recreation director Scott McCord was directed by city officials on Aug. 14 to look into cost and possible locations for the skate park. He visited Athens, Tenn., to see that city’s facility and reported back to officials last week.“I had the pleasure of going to Athens last Monday to see their skate park and talk to their director about it,” said McCord.
