McMinnville officials have announced winners of the 2013 Christmas Parade. Monetary prizes totaling $1,375 were awarded Friday night at City Hall by Mayor Jimmy Haley.Taking the prestigious People’s Choice Award which came with a $200 prize and rolling over the competition like a steam engine was Ben Lomand Connect.Ben Lomand’s winning parade entry was designed to look like a locomotive bringing people home for Christmas as the parade theme this year was “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.””We used a similar design before. We recycled it, modified it and brought it back,” said Ben Lomand public relations supervisor Karen Wilson.
