McMinnville Police Department will be restricting parking on Main Street during the 2011 McMinnville Christmas Parade scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. this Saturday. No parking will be allowed on Main Street between the hours of 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. Signs will be posted along the street in the days before the parade to give frequent visitors advance notice. Safety and the enjoyment of onlookers are two motivating factors for the annual decision.“We do this for safety purposes,” said Police Capt. Mike Lane.
