In an effort to help voters make an informed decision when they head to the polls, the Southern Standard and WCPI are conducting two political forums this Monday and Tuesday at Warren County High School’s auditorium.
The forums will begin at 7 p.m. each night and feature MTSU professor John Vile and Standard editor James Clark as moderators.
Monday’s schedule includes candidates for Property Assessor, School Board, and General Sessions Judge.
Tuesday’s schedule includes candidates for state Senate and state House.
Every candidate will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves and make opening remarks. Candidates for Property Assessor will not be asked questions. All other candidates will be asked general questions pertaining to the job they are seeking.
Members of the audience are encouraged to submit questions for consideration. They will be asked as time permits. Organizers aim to have a thorough and informative program that lasts no longer than 1 hour 30 minutes.
Candidates are welcome to meet and greet members of the audience, but political signs will not be allowed.
