Campbell gives confession after stealing from church

An Irving College man faces felony charges after he reportedly broke into a church and stole money.The suspect, Kade M. Campbell, 20, is charged with burglary and theft from a church and will face hearing before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on Dec. 8.He is charged with the break-in of Pearls of Christ Church in southern Warren County near the Grundy County line, not far from his home. According to sheriff’s investigator Kevin Murphy, the suspect was able to gain entry into the church and then went about stealing.“Reported stolen was $270 cash and a check for $50,” Murphy said in his warrant against Campbell.Murphy said Campbell was identified as a person of interest and he made a call on the suspect.“During questioning, Mr. Campbell admitted to entering the church and using his driver license to gain access to the office where he took the money,” Murphy said of his confession.
