Brock not hired as city administrator

Public Works director Bill Brock was the only finalist remaining Tuesday night when McMinnville officials met to determine a city administrator.

Needing four votes to get the job from the seven-member board, city officials ended deadlocked in a 3-3 tie in their bid to hire Brock.

Despite four of the five finalists backing out for one reason or another, Brock maintained he wanted the city administrator job and said he could work with the board if given the opportunity.
