A man who led police on a car and foot chase will serve 120 days behind bars.The man, Dane S. Briest, 43, entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to charges of evading arrest, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, third-offense driving on a revoked license, and DUI.His jail time comes after police tried to pull him over on Locust Street. “I tried to get in behind the vehicle but it pulled into Riverside Custom’s parking lot and slid to a stop,” said McMinnville policeman Jared Jacobs. “He ran from the vehicle and went behind several houses while I pursued.”Patrolman Paul Springer caught Briest minutes later behind a house on Hill Street, several hundred yards from where the foot chase began.
