Bleacher issue forces youth football to punt

With the concrete stands at Bobby Ray Elementary in poor condition, the Warren County Youth Football League will play its home games at Nunley Stadium this year.
Continued issues over the deteriorated condition of the concrete bleachers at the Bobby Ray football field have prompted a move to Nunley Stadium for the Warren County Youth Football League.“We are going to have to rope off the present bleachers due to the hazard they present the public,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox during a School Board meeting.Liability issues were raised due to the poor condition of the bleacher at Bobby Ray. The field, while still owned by the school, is mainly used by the Warren County Youth Football League for its home games. The league funded, in recent years, a refurbishing of the lights so games could be played at night. However, the fact they would not be able to use the bleachers for seating this year presented a problem since the only other area would be a grassy hill above the field which would only offer minimal seating.
