The Central Baptist Association really fueled up its outreach efforts Friday afternoon on S. Chancery Street.The organization offered 25 cents off every gallon of gasoline purchased at the Gulf station from 2 to 6 p.m."We're trying to show the Baptist churches are here not only telling about the love of God but showing it," said Dave Carden, the preacher at Welchland Baptist.The Central Baptist Association is composed of 17 churches in Warren County and two in Van Buren. The group has an evangelism committee and it decided to offer this discount as a benefit to local residents.Gulf station owner Bhumik Patel marked down gasoline on all his pumps by 25 cents a gallon. The price of regular unleaded was $1.82 per gallon.
