An armed robbery suspect who told authorities he needed the money to buy drugs turned himself in at the sheriff’s department Wednesday, the day his picture was published on the front page of the Standard.Harold Dawson Delong Jr., 52, has been arrested and remains in jail on $1 million bond. His address is listed as Partridge Meadows Apartment on Oriole Drive.Delong is charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, those being the Tuesday afternoon robbery of One-Stop Market in Centertown, and the Jan. 29 robbery of Northside Market on Old Smithville Highway.Delong has yet to be officially charged with a Monday robbery at Perry’s Country Store at the three-way stop on Yager-Lucky Road.“He is responsible for that one too,” said Matheny. “We are getting together our information and we’ll present that case to the grand jury.”Delong wasn’t charged with the Northside Market robbery until late Thursday.
