Attendees to the Marketville & Car Show being held Saturday at the Warren County Fairgrounds will not only have the opportunity to find unique treasures among over 100 vendor booths, but will have the opportunity to adopt a dog or cat and provide an animal with loving companionship.
Viola Valley Dogs owner Linda Coursey said she will have three or four large dogs that are used to being outside at Marketville. The dogs have already been spayed or neutered and are up-to-date on shots. The adoption fee for these dogs is $50 for a male dog and $75 for a female.
Warren County Animal Control and Kastaway Kitties representatives will have educational information and pictures of dogs and cats up for adoption. However, animals won’t be at the fairgrounds Saturday.
Warren County Commissioner Sally Brock said, “We decided not to bring the animals because it will be too hot and we will not have a booth with electricity.”
Animal Control adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats. The fee includes spaying or neutering the animals.
Saturday, Marketville will transform the fairgrounds area into a large yard sale and craft fair from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Along with a car show, there will be food, live music, activities, and door prizes.
Admission is free.
