Ambulances to receive newer heart monitors

Warren County EMS and Rescue will be receiving eight new heart monitors thanks to a grant received from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. The estimated cost of the heart monitors is $214,400. The grant received is a 90-10 grant which means the county is expected to pay 10 percent of the cost, estimated to be about $21,435.EMS director Brian Jennings said he believes the money the county needs for the grant can be pulled from his budget.“These monitors are state-of-the-art.
