Deciding it does not reflect well on the county when a businessperson flies into town, is issued a courtesy vehicle to drive and must climb in through the passenger-side door, the county’s Budget and Finance Committee voted to amend the airport budget to purchase a better courtesy vehicle to be used at Warren County Memorial Airport. The airport presently has two courtesy vehicles acquired in 2001 from the Sheriff’s Department, a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice and a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria.“Over the last few months, we have had a lot of maintenance issues with these vehicles,” said airport manager Richard Crawford. “It is costing the airport a good bit of money every year to keep these vehicles up. These vehicles were donated by the Sheriff’s Department.
