In boys 6-8 tournament action on Friday night, Womack Printing took on Edward Jones in the championship game at Hoover and Millraney Field at the Civic Center. Edward Jones made its way to the championship game, having to battle through tough matchups earlier in the night against Morrison Industries and Moose Lodge as Womack Printing sat back and waited for its opponent.The game was close at the beginning as Edward Jones had the early lead, but Womack Printing used clutch hitting, as it has all season, to score 14 runs on its way to a 14-4 championship victory, claiming first place in the season and in the tournament.John Gillespie had four hits for Womack Printing, including an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning. Kylan Jones, Braxton Gibbs and Cash Clayton added two hits apiece, while Corban Felton, Hunter Willis, Braeden Rich, Jaxon Rhea and Jr Mares added a hit each.Braylon Hankins and Jonas Bailey had two hits apiece to lead Edward Jones.
