Warren County Middle School teams have completed their runs at CTC titles for the 2018-19 school year. The WCMS coaches are wasting no time on planning on competing for more championships next season.
WCMS recently announced the tryout times for its teams. Any student in the Warren County school district may try out for any middle school sport, except basketball and cheer.
Girls basketball will have two dates, one for current students moving into grades 7-8 and another for prospective sixth-grade students. The 7-8 grade tryout will be Monday, May 13 from 3-5 p.m. The sixth-grade tryout will be Thursday, May 23 from 12-2 p.m.
WCMS girls soccer coach Lyndi Dodd will evaluate players over two days. The soccer team will hold tryouts May 23-24 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Hickory Creek practice field.
New volleyball coach Holly Morgan will hold tryouts Thursday, May 23 from 10 a.m. until noon at the WCMS gym.
The latest girls tryout will be Friday, June 7 when coach Joe Damon selects the next Lady Pioneer softball roster. The tryout will begin at 5 p.m. at the WCHS softball field.
On the boys side, baseball coach Chad Young is holding tryouts for upcoming 7-8 grade boys on Saturday, June 1. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and tryouts will begin at 10 a.m. at the WCMS baseball field.

Cross country workouts will begin July 15. Athletes looking to participate can contact coach Patty Kelly at kellyp@warrenschools.com.
Participants must fill out a pre-participation form, which is available on the Warren County Middle School website through warrenschools.com., to try out. Athletes making teams will be required to get an updated physical.
