Fighting inclement weather, the Warren County Middle School tennis team worked in its first two meets of the year, warming up as they went. The Pioneers fell in their first meet 6-0, but improved by winning three matches in the contest against Shelbyville.“Our first match against Coffee County didn’t show the results that we wanted, but for about half the team, it was their very first match ever,” said WCMS tennis coach Susan Barrett. “They did very well considering they had never played an entire match before.”Thursday’s match at home against Shelbyville went much better with the kids pulling off three match wins.
