The Warren County Middle School boys basketball team has had success this year, as long as its opponent isn’t a school from Tullahoma.Tullahoma West Middle School came to McMinnville Thursday night and handed the Pioneers a 43-40 overtime loss – Warren County’s second loss to a Tullahoma school this season and third in four games overall.Warren County (1-3) knew Tullahoma West would provide quite a challenge, despite the opponent featuring just a few rotation players. Tullahoma sent just seven players to the court and only three scored for the visitors.Warren County coach Adam Wood tried to match Tullahoma by spreading out the visitors with scoring from every position. The Pioneers had seven players score Thursday, but none cracked double digits as the home squad didn’t have enough fire power in the end against Tullahoma.Nic Barstad helped rally the visitors – who trailed 27-24 entering the fourth quarter – by scoring eight straight points to begin the fourth period.
