WCMS soccer shuts out Harris

Katie Toney continues the forward progress of the ball for the Lady Pioneer soccer team. WCMS varsity soccer has scored a total of 34 goals in five games this season.
WCMS soccer took its high-octane offense to Shelbyville on Tuesday and put it to the test against perennial conference powerhouse, the Harris Middle School Lady Golden Eagles, a conference finalist over the past three seasons.The Lady Pioneer offense started off fast and raced away to the finish line with a 5-0 victory. WCMS coach Matt Walker said, “I must once again brag on the defense as they played a very good Harris team and held them to three shots on goal and recorded their fifth shutout in six games. It was important for us to start fast and send a message early.
