The Warren County Middle School baseball team could hardly get over the anticipation of playing Harris Middle School Tuesday. A late bus didn’t help things.Despite starting 30 minutes late, the game was worth the wait for the Pioneers as the team improved to 2-1 with a 4-3 victory over the Eagles.Warren County knew the importance of its game against the Eagles. The first five games for the Pioneers this season count toward their Central Tennessee Conference record, so every win is vital to postseason seeding.Coach David Martin gave the ball to eighth-grader Will Lupo and for the second time this season the big righty didn’t disappoint.Lupo pitched into the seventh inning, scattering six hits while allowing three runs to earn his second victory.Dylan Tubb entered in the seventh inning to earn the save.The Pioneers didn’t waste much time taking a lead.
