When the Warren County Middle School girls basketball team took off for Christmas break, the Lady Pioneers were sitting in second place in the Central Tennessee Conference and were anticipating a matchup with Franklin South Middle School to begin their January schedule.A loss to Franklin South sent the Lady Pioneers into a funk as Warren County lost three straight games.It wasn’t until last week when the Lady Pioneers finally rallied. Warren County won both its games against CTC opponents, beating Coffee County Tuesday 35-24 and following it up with a 41-25 victory over Shelbyville Harris Middle School Thursday.The dynamic duo of Karagan Turner and Madison Mason helped the Lady Pioneers end their losing streak on Tuesday in Manchester.Turner did the dirty work in the paint, scoring 12 points as she attempted 15 free throws against Coffee County. The Lady Raiders could only foul the Lady Pioneers’ star post to keep her from scoring.Mason kept her game on the perimeter, scoring 11 points on an array of jumpers.
