Lady Pioneer Valeria Vargas qualified after finishing as the second low medalist.
Two Warren County golfers will be teeing off in the region tournament after qualifying during district play Monday in Crossville.Lady Pioneer Valeria Vargas qualified after finishing as the second low medalist with a score of 85. Pioneer Levi Craven qualified after finishing with a score of 83.Should those two perform well at regionals, the next step is the state tournament.“To make state, I think Valeria will have to shoot between 76 and 80,” said WCHS golf coach J.W. Holt. “The boys scores will be lower so Levi will have to shoot in the low 70s to make it.”The TSSAA changed its rules this year so only the top three individual golfers from each region advance to state.
