They were stars on the basketball court and the golf course.They coached championship teams and spearheaded youth baseball and softball leagues.Six sports contributors were honored Friday night with the recognition of a lifetime when Patti Clarke, Corker DeLoach Sr., Sam Boyd, Ann Eades, and Leslie and Wilma Henegar were inducted into the Warren County Sports Hall of Fame.A banquet was held in their honor Friday night before Warren County’s home football game against White County. The inductees in attendance were then recognized on the field at halftime.Few careers have been more illustrious than that of Patti Clarke, who guided the Pioneerettes to six national dance team championships.“She instilled in me so much more than how to dance,” said former Pioneerette and current coach Penny Shockley. “I pray that I leave the impression on the girls I coach that she left on me.”Clarke was known for her intensity and hard-nosed approach.
