The long layoff for the girls 11-13 senior league didn’t seem to have any effect on Livia Walker.Playing the first league game in 20 days, Walker threw a no-hitter to lead Walker’s Wildcatz to a 17-0 win over Ramirez Trucking Tuesday night at Hoover and Millraney Field.With the victory, the Wildcatz clinched the regular-season title as the team continued its perfect season.Walker was a huge reason why the Wildcatz improved to 7-0. The lefty dominated in the circle, striking out seven over four innings of work to earn her first no-hitter.Walker just missed a perfect game as the only Ramirez Trucking batter to reach base was Bailey Walker on a first-inning free pass.While Ramirez Trucking spun its wheels at the plate, Walker’s Wildcatz had no trouble finding ways to score.Macie Walker and Emily Burns each had RBI hits as Walker’s took a 3-0 lead in the first inning.Run-scoring hits from Livia Walker, Skylar Youngblood and Kionna Smith pushed the lead to eight as Walker’s reached the five-run limit without recording an out in the second inning.An RBI double from Cassie Scruggs and three-run triple by Livia Walker made it 12-0 after the third inning as the game turned into a rout.Walker’s put the final touches on the blowout victory with five more runs in the fourth inning, including Macie Walker blasting a triple to the left-field fence after the Wildcatz had loaded the bases.Livia Walker finished off her no-hitter by striking out the final Ramirez Trucking batter in the fourth inning.Macie Walker led Walker’s with three hits. Livia Walker added two hits, while Scruggs, Youngblood, Burns and Smith chipped in one hit apiece.The girls 11-13 senior league tournament is set to start next week.
