Monday night was the final home game for the Irving College Tigers as they battled to the finish against the Boyd Christian Broncos. It was eighth grade night at Irving College and the Tigers went out with a bang in front of their home crowd as they defeated the Broncos 56-24.Jalen Smith for Irving College would be the game’s high scorer with 22 points and teammate Eduardo Contreras was hot on his heels with 19.Irving College had one thing on its mind and got it done by quickly jumping out to an early 18-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Pressure and anticipating the pass by Irving College led to many Boyd turnovers in the opening quarter.
