Playing good enough to win and actually winning are two distinctively different things. The Warren County High School football team found that out first hand Friday night on homecoming against the White County Warriors.In a game the Pioneers were statistically superior, it was the Warriors who went home with the 23-16 win in the border battle between District 6-AAA foes. Warren County (1-4) dominated the yardage battle, holding White County to 86 yards while gaining 245 yards, and had nine more first downs than the Warriors, but fell seven points short of evening its district record while White County moved to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in District 6-AAA.The turning point came shortly before halftime.
