The Warren County High School soccer team has subscribed to the old adage, “get knocked down nine times, get up 10,” all season. Despite getting close to victory, only to fall short 10 times, the Pioneers always brought their best effort.The Pioneers’ perserverence was rewarded Thursday night when the team claimed its first victory of the season in Smithville. Behind two second-half goals by Ethan Bandy, including one in the final minute, Warren County downed DeKalb County 3-2.Warren County came into the Thursday game winless, having lost nine games and tied in another.
