Coach Trice Powers will be holding a baseball camp at Warren County High School Tuesday, Dec. 19 where children in grades K-8 can learn from Powers, his coaching staff and members of the WCHS baseball team. The camp will be split into two sessions, with grades K-4 open from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and grades 5-8 from 1:30-4 p.m.

"Me and the rest of my coaching staff are looking forward to having our first camp in the area," said Powers. "Something else baseball players can look forward to will be our summer camp when schoool is out. It will be large scale, outdoors and run for three days.

"We plan on running these two camps for the foreseeable future and hope to make them a staple of our program."

The Christmas camp will be held in the indoor facilities at Warren County High School. Players are asked to bring their own equipment and dress for baseball. Spikes will not be allowed on the indoor facilities.

The cost is $40 for campers, and coach Powers asks parents to register early to guarantee spots. A limited number of spots are available in each session.

"This camp is designed to be smaller so there is more individual instruction for each player," said Powers. "There are still spots available for each session and we encourage people to take advantage."

A registration form is available by going to and clicking on the athletics tab and following the link to the baseball website. Forms and payments can be mailed to coach Trice Powers at 199 Pioneer Lane, McMinnville, TN 37110. Checks should be made payable to Tenth Inning Booster Club.
