JAYCEE BASKETBALL LEAGUE SIGN-UPS
Jaycee Basketball sign-ups will be Sept. 19-20, Sept. 22, Sept. 26-27, Sept. 29 and Oct. 3-4. The sign-ups will be at McMinnville Civic Center during those days from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will also be a coach’s meeting Oct. 4 from 6:15-7:30 p.m. at Bobby Ray Gym. Potential players should bring $37 at the time of sign-ups, with proof of birth and a parent or guardian signed application or liability waiver. The league also needs sponsors. The cost to sponsor a team is $160 per team and you can put your company’s logo on the shirt. KIDS N CAVES 5K AND ONE-MILE FUN RUN
The Kids ‘n Caves one-mile fun run will take place Sept. 10 at 8 a.m. at the Civic Center. Race entries will be accepted Sept. 10 at the race check-in at the Jungle Jym side of the Civic Center. All pre-registered participants must check in at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the race. All other participants must be ready to register at 7 a.m. Pre-registration fees are as follows: K-5th, $7 without a shirt and $15 with a shirt, adults, $12 without a shirt and $20 with a shirt up to a large, $22 for 2XL and $24 for 3XL. Seventh ANNUAL 3-POINT CLUB GOLF SCRAMBLE
The 7th annual 3-point Club Golf Scramble will be held Sept. 9 at McMinnville Country Club. There will be a 2 p.m. shotgun start. There can be four members of each team, with a $300 entry fee per team, and a $75 fee for any individual without a team. There will also be a putting contest that will be $5 per person to enter. Seventh ANNUAL BOYD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Boyd Christian School will be holding its 7th annual golf tournament Oct. 1 at River Watch golf course in Sparta. The tournament will be a four-man scramble, with a 12 p.m. shotgun start. Fees for the tournament are $75 per person and $300 per team. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the tournament, with lunch being served at 11 a.m.
The top three teams will receive prizes and there will also be contests to see who gets closest to the pin and longest drive. A hole-in-one challenge will be sponsored by John Roberts Nissan. Mulligans and red tees will be available for $5 each. Entry forms can be picked up at Boyd Christian School or at High’s Funeral Home, with all proceeds going to Boyd Christian School.

2016 CO-ED VOLLEYBALL
The McMinnville Parks and Recreation department will start taking registration forms for the co-ed volleyball league on Sept. 5. The league entry fee will be $250 per team. The registration deadline to get all rosters in is Oct. 1. Games will be played Tuesday and Thursday nights starting Oct. 18. The league is open to both men and women 14 years and up.
