After years of being noticed locally for her athletic ability, Megan Dishman set out to the University of Tennessee in search of a fresh start and hoping to focus on academics. She barely got through orientation before she was right back playing sports.Dishman, a former three-sport standout at Warren County High School, completed her first season with the UT row team in May and has already returned to Knoxville to start training for her second year with the squad.Never did the former Lady Pioneer think she’d be playing college sports at this time, but a chance encounter has turned into vital role with the Tennessee Crew.“The coach came up to me at orientation and asked me if I was already playing another sport and I kind of laughed and said no,” said Dishman. “She told me I had the perfect build to be a rower.
