Lady Bronco Mackinzie Pistole is honored for earning her 1,000 point mark in Boyd Christian High School's matchup with RCA.

Boyd Christian High School took to the road Friday, Jan. 20, as the Lady Broncos traveled to Fayetteville and took home a 64-26 victory over the Lady Knights of Riverside Christian Academy.
It was a personal victory for Lady Bronco Mackinzie Pistole as well, having scored the 1,000th point of her career. She is the second Lady Bronco senior to hit 1,000 points as teammate Rhiannon Hoover also hit the 1K mark.
“Mackinzie has worked hard and is one of those players you love to coach,” said Boyd Christian School head basketball coach Brent Warren. “I am very proud for her and am going to miss coaching her after this year. She is one of those players that does not say much. She does her talking on the floor. She leads by example for the younger players.”
Taking a 31-13 lead at the half, the Lady Broncos never looked back with their offense posting twice that of RCA, 22-11, in the third quarter.
Pistole was also the leading scorer in the game, scoring 27 points in the contest followed by Rhiannon Hoover who hit for 14.
The Lady Knight’s offense was led by Taylor Butcher who made 10 points.
Also scoring for Boyd were Morgan DeWeese with 9 points, Stephanie Mullins 7, Emma Rhoton 4 and McKenna Powell had 1 point.
