Beset by injuries, the WCMS Pioneers traveled to Shelbyville last week with a M.A.S.H unit. Down to only 23 available players, the Pioneers lost for the fourth straight week, dropping a 22-8 decision to their CTC rivals.“We had to change things up a little to use what guys we had left and still have backups and be able to get them a rest during the game,” said coach Donnie Harris, noting the week started with five players injured, only to lose four more in the lead up to the game. “We played about as well as we could while having to rely on some young and inexperienced players.”Shelbyville Harris (1-3) took an 8-0 lead into halftime, getting a 10-yard touchdown carry from Caden Thomas late in the second quarter.
