Brett Patterson has played hundreds, maybe thousands, of rounds of golf, but nothing could prepare him for stepping on the 10th tee box at Congressional Country Club yesterday.Playing in the 111st U.S. Open in Bethesda, Maryland, Patterson fought back from a sluggish start to post a 77 at the par 71 course. Though Patterson currently sits 11 strokes off the lead, he still felt the round left him with an opportunity to make the cut.“I started off with the double bogey, then struggled to save par on a lot of holes,” said Patterson. “I still have the opportunity to make the cut though.”Patterson didn’t get a break when his round began.
Patterson ends round at +6
