Mud Bums wins Newtown tournament title

It only takes one run to win and Wednesday evening Mud Bums edged Multiple Scorers in the bottom of the seventh with a walk-off base hit by Brett Simmons. Mud Bums defeated Multiple Scorers by a final score of 22-21 in the championship game.The two teams headed into the final inning and Mud Bums trailed 21-16. The inning started and ended with Brett Simmons, affectionately known as “Mr. Wonderful.”
