Morrison 7-8 grade Eagle basketball player Ryland Holder, shown here just before the break, competed in the Jingle Bell Classic which ended Tuesday night with the Morrison Eagles winning the championship and Holder named all-tournament.
Dashing down the court, scoring all the way, it was a Jingle Bell Classic win for Morrison’s Eagles after they defeated Grundy County’s Swiss Wildcats, 41-28, to wrap up the tournament as champions.Leading to the title, the Eagles first won a first-round game over Bedford and then Tullahoma East to advance to the championship game Tuesday night at Grundy County High School.“It was a great opportunity for our teams to play out of county and see different competition,” said Morrison head coach Kyle Cannon. “Both of our teams were undefeated going into the championship games Tuesday night. The boys played three very good teams.
