Moose Lodge 1725 was in the hunt for a season tournament championship win Friday night as the team faced Edward Jones/Dan Sellers. Moose Lodge had to win two games for victory in a double elimination tournament that turned into a doubleheader.With voracious tenacity, Moose Lodge won a close, high-scoring bout of back-and-forth action with Edward Jones 17-14 in game one, sending both teams into a sudden-death finale where, once again Moose Lodge came out alive with a 10-6 victory and the boys youth league ages 6-8 tournament title to boot. Tournament Final Game TwoMoose Lodge 10Edward Jones/Dan Sellers 6Moose Lodge’s defense, along with aggressive offense that heated up the bats early, was key in winning the tournament.While holding Edward Jones scoreless in the top of the first, Moose Lodge started at the top of the lineup with two runs early in the bottom of the inning as Jacob Holt and Adrian Harris both crossed home for 2 runs.Edward Jones struggled again in the second inning, going 1-2-3, but Moose Lodge would score 4 more runs in the bottom as Brady Norris, Daylin Holguin, Kaden West and Braylor Jones all added runs for the Lodge, now leading 5-0.Neither team scored in the third as Edward Jones went out 1-2-3 again.
