Neither the start of District 6-AAA action or Pinkout Night seemed to have any effect on the Warren County High School boys basketball team. The Pioneers’ long losing streak reached seven games Friday night when the visiting Cumberland County Jets won 58-48 at Charlie Dalton Gym.Warren County (1-8) stayed with the Jets for most of the contest, but the Pioneers never led after taking a brief 18-17 advantage in the early portion of the second quarter. It was the constant fighting from behind that seemed to drain Warren County late as Cumberland County started its defense of the District 6-AAA championship the team claimed last season with a victory in McMinnville. The Pioneers continued to employ two freshmen in their starting lineup with Trey Cantrell at guard and Tyler Beaty playing post.
