The Warren County Middle School girls team had two goals in Saturday's 5-6 grade championship game. The Lady Pioneers wanted to push the pace on offense and limit Dibrell guard Brianna Young on defense.Accomplishing both goals gave the Lady Pioneers a championship as Warren County downed the Dibrell Lady Wildcats 38-11 at Eastside Elementary School gym.Shonacye Rutledge was a dominant force on both ends of the court to lead the Lady Pioneers. Rutledge was able to get behind the Dibrell defense for layups while also spearheading a Lady Pioneer defense that didn't allow a point in the final 11 minutes.Rutledge and Marah Wanamaker each got free for two layups in the first quarter as Warren County built an 11-2 lead.The run-out layups for the Lady Pioneers continued in the second quarter.
