There would be no late-game collapse for the Warren County Middle School softball team in its second game of the season.A day after giving up a six-run lead on opening night, the Lady Pioneers came out and scored 11 runs against White County in the first inning en route to picking up a 15-2 victory.Coach Gooby Martin got a feeling of déja vu as he watched his team pile up runs early against White County.Against DeKalb County on opening night, Warren County scored six runs in the first inning, but ended up losing 7-6.The Lady Pioneers didn’t want the same result Tuesday night at home. Warren County batted for over 30 minutes in the first inning as 16 batters went to the plate.Lindsey Cox started the game with a walk and was followed by a single from Ty Ramirez. Madison Mason brought around Cox with a single up the middle to make it 1-0.Emily Webb then drilled a shot into the left-field gap to score Ramirez and Mason to give the Lady Pioneers a three-run lead.
