All the good vibes from last week’s two home wins by the Warren County High School softball team have vanished this week. The Lady Pioneers lost their second straight home game, and third straight overall, Wednesday when the Cookeville Lady Cavaliers visited and took an 8-4 win back home.Warren County (8-9) lost for the second time in District 6-AAA play, evening its record to 2-2.It was a tough game from the start as Warren County looked like a fatigued team. Playing their 11th game in 10 days, the Lady Pioneers couldn’t get the bats going in the late innings and pitcher Gabi Keith struggled through her eighth complete game in a grueling stretch. The senior pitcher has been a workhorse for coach David Upton of late, toeing the rubber on a near nightly basis and producing solid results. The last two outings have been forgettable for Keith though.
