Dibrell proved to be pesky, but the Boyd Lady Broncos never lost their swagger in the 7-8 grade county championship Monday night.Boyd showed the poise of a team that hasn’t lost all season as the Lady Broncos captured a 38-27 victory and the county crown at WCHS.Boyd post Anna Bain pounded the glass in scoring a game-high 14 points, while flashy guard and tournament MVP Rhiannon Hoover added 11.“We were more inside tonight than outside because their defense was pulled back to stop the 3,” said Boyd coach Greta Hoover. “To win the county tournament and go 19-0, this is an exciting time for us. I’m proud of the girls and the way they play together as a team.”The Lady Broncos will continue their season this weekend in the TNT State Tournament.
