If Warren County High School head coach Tommy Johnson and former Warren County Middle School head coach Greg Cotten didn’t have enough work to do resurrecting football in Warren County, they surely have enough to keep them busy now.Coach Johnson and coach Cotten have joined the coaching staff for the Knoxville Nighthawks, a new team in the Professional Indoor Football League.Coach Johnson will serve as the defensive coordinator for the Nighthawks, while coach Cotten will work with the offensive and defensive lines. The new gig for each won’t affect their current positions with Warren County High School. Coach Johnson thinks if anything, the new job will be a boost for his young apprentice.“One of the main reasons I took this offer was to help Greg,” said Johnson. “This is a great experience for him and can only make him a better coach.”While coach Cotten is taking a new job with the Nighthawks, he will also be occupying a new spot next fall.
