Hickory Creek’s Lady Hawks played host to Irving College Thursday night in continuing 5-6 grade basketball action and dropped the home game, 25-12, to the Lady Tigers.In swift and decisive action, Irving College jumped into a double-digit lead at the half, 19-2, which proved insurmountable for Hickory Creek.Mia Hobbs led the offense for the Lady Tigers with 13 points to her credit, 11 by the half.Also scoring for Irving College were Brooklyn Wannamaker and McKenzie Hillis, both with 4 points, and Jessie Young along with Ashlin Reed both scored 2 points.Making up the Lady Hawks' even dozen were Kora Forbes with 4 points and Paige Sweeton, Isabella Pennington, Jayla Crabtree and Andrea Jefferson all scored 2 points each.Irving College plays host to Bobby Ray on Monday, Nov. 7, while Hickory Creek doesn’t play again until Monday, Nov. 14 traveling to Warren County Middle School. Game times begin 6 p.m.
