Had the game been played at Charlie Dalton Gym, the Warren County High School basketball team may have struggled with the Boyd Broncos.The Pioneers fell to 0-6 at home and 5-14 overall Friday night after a 57-51 loss to the visiting Cannon County Lions.Warren County was coming off its best stretch of basketball to end 2013 when it won 4-of-6 games in Christmas tournaments at Antioch and Watertown – including ending the Watertown Christmas tournament by blasting the Broncos 68-26 to claim third place. That momentum didn’t carry over when the Pioneers took the court at Charlie Dalton Gym for their first game of 2014.
