Edward Jones stays unbeaten
Halle Lowe rounds third and heads for home during action against Graves Technology on Monday evening. Lowe and Edward Jones stayed undefeated on the season with a 19-8 victory over Graves.

In the second and final game of the evening in girls 7-9 softball action at Pete Holt Field, Edward Jones looked to keep its undefeated streak alive as it faced Graves Technology.
Edward Jones built a five-run lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back as it cruised to a 19-8 victory, keeping its undefeated season alive.
Callie Joe Roberts led the way for Edward Jones at the plate, going 4-for-4. Lily Rains, Jerra Jones and Maggie Whiles added three hits, while Halle Lowe, Annabella Culwell and Brooklyn Lusk had two hits. Amaya Martin contributed a hit in the victory.
For Graves Technology at the plate, Aubrey Olaksik, Brooke Wilson and Kira Franson had two hits apiece to lead the way. Kenzie Hullett and Javona Turner added a hit a piece.
Edward Jones built a five-run lead in the top of the first. Lowe, Rains, Jones, Roberts and Whiles all came around to score, putting Edward Jones in the driver’s seat, 5-0, heading into the bottom of the inning.
A 2-RBI double by Hope Gilley helped Graves Technology cut the Edward Jones lead to three in the bottom of the inning and it was a close game again heading into the top of the second, 5-2.
A two-run home run by Rains and a 2-RBI double by MaKayla Cagle helped Edward Jones build its lead to seven, 9-2, as their bats continued to catch fire.
Graves Technology managed to score a run on an RBI double by Turner in the bottom of the inning but that was all the scoring it managed as the lead was cut to six, 9-3, after two.
Edward Jones failed to score in the third and Graves tacked on a run to make it a five-run game, heading into the fourth, 9-4.
Edward Jones scored five runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth, while Graves Technology only managed to score four more runs the rest of the way and Edward Jones kept its undefeated streak alive in impressive fashion, 19-8.
