Edward Jones/Dan Sellers propelled themselves into the 7-9 boys season tournament final bracket with a close 14-12 win over Moose Lodge 1725 Thursday night at McMinnville Civic Center.Moose Lodge was up first, and scored two runs on the inning as Brady Norris and Daylen Holguin tacked on 2 runs early.Ed Jones started pitching for a win in the bottom of the inning however, and rallied for a 7-run inning as Braylon Hankins, Hayden Fults, Corbin Harris, Ethan Holder, Asher Laxson, Cortlyn Porter and Camron Holder made it across home for a 7-2 lead.Moose Lodge galloped back with a big inning of its own in some back and forth in the second as Norris, Holguin, Jacob Holt, Adrian Harris, Braylor Jones, Cason Thompson and Aden Johnson all scored to take back the lead 9-7.Ed Jones was back on the rally wagon in the bottom of the second, with Fults, Harris, Holder, Laxson and Porter all scoring to regain the advantage 12-9.Moose Lodge had trouble in the third and couldn’t muster any runs. Meanwhile Jone’ hitters Hankins and Fults tacked on 2 more, now 14-9Moose Lodge didn’t know quit though as Norris, Holguin and Harris added 3 runs in the fourth but time ran out on the Lodge team 2 runs shy of a tie.
