The Dream Team and Morrison Industries squared off in men’s league basketball action Tuesday night at the Civic Center.
The Dream Team won the game 61-56 in a close game that came down to the wire. The Dream Team was led by Deon Martin, who scored 20 points. Morrison Industries was led by Jared Vanatta’s 20 points in a losing effort.
The game was close at the end of the first quarter with Morrison Industries taking the early six-point advantage, 20-14. Martin and teammate Corey Richardson helped the Dream Team take the lead away from Morrison Industries late in the second quarter, to lead at the half 39-37, in a highly contested matchup.
Both offenses were sluggish coming out of the half and couldn’t buy a bucket. Going into the final quarter of play, the Dream Team continued to have the advantage 50-45.
Morrison Industries never made a run in the fourth quarter to capture the lead, and the Dream Team prevailed 61-56. Both teams will be in action Tuesday at the Civic Center.
