The biggest position battle of the offseason for the Pioneers is settled ... for now. Coach Tommy Johnson has tabbed senior Connor Dixon as his starting quarterback for tonight’s game against the DeKalb County Tigers (Nunley Stadium, 7 p.m.).Dixon has been in a battle with sophomore Hunter Mullican during the offseason for the position and coach Johnson decided to go with the experience Dixon brings.“Both guys are pretty equal and have been equal during camp,” said Johnson. “In making the decision I went with the guy who has a little more experience.”Though Dixon has been named the starter, Warren County fans should expect to see both quarterbacks take snaps tonight.
