MONTCLAIR, N.J. (AP) — Yogi Berra will be remembered by family and friends at a private funeral in the New Jersey town where he and his wife raised their family.
But the service at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Montclair will be televised live on the Yankees' YES Network available on cable and satellite TV beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The baseball legend and American treasure known for his quirky sayings died Sept. 22. He was 90.
His family released a statement saying they know he is at peace with his wife, Carmen, who died last year.
Gov. Chris Christie has ordered flags on state government buildings lowered to half-staff in Berra's honor.
