Titans agree on futures contracts with pair of receivers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on futures contracts with wide receivers Jacoby Ford and Clyde Gates.

The Titans announced the deals Wednesday.

The 5-foot-9, 190-pound Ford was a fourth-round draft pick by Oakland in 2010 out of Clemson. He has played in 38 games and has 57 career receptions for 848 yards with three touchdowns. He also had 75 kickoff returns, including four for touchdowns.

The 6-foot Gates also was a fourth-round draft pick by Miami in 2011 out of Abilene Christian. In his 32 career games, Gates has 30 catches for 365 yards with his first season in Miami before spending two seasons with the Jets after being claimed off waivers. He also has averaged 24.9 yards on 48 kick returns.
