The Hall’s Backhoe Dodgers hadn’t tasted defeat in nearly two months and looked poised to sweep the titles in the boys 11-12-year-old senior league when the tournament championship game began Friday night. The Pioneer Pediatric Cardinals had other plans for the tournament title trophy though. The Cardinals got a great performance on the mound from Tyler Prater and big time hitting from Krojn Colbert to down the Dodgers 7-3 and earn the title. The Dodgers, who went 11-1 in the regular season, looked like a juggernaut entering the championship game. With their ace Jamey Jennings on the hill, the Dodgers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after two innings when Michael Hopkins drove in Logan Dyer with a single in the second.Jennings came unraveled in the third though.
